Dr. Yulinda Renee Rahman (Rock-Man) affectionately called Doc YuRoc is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor, Board Certified "Kink Conscious" Sex Therapist, Certified Divorce Mediator, and Certified Relationship Coach with a Doctorate in Clinical Sexology. She is a researcher of sexual trauma, therapeutic BDSM, and creator and author of a resource for sexual trauma healing titled "A Power Exchange with Your Pain: A Guide Towards Reconciliation with SELF."
Dr. Rahman has over 20+ years of experience in the Mental Health field having held numerous roles that include Case Management, School Counseling, as well as Private Practice.
She obtained her Bachelor's in Psychology and Criminal Justice from Loyola in 2002. She obtained her Master's in Counseling from National Louis in 2007 and her Master's in Educational Leadership from The American College of Education in 2011. She recently obtained her Doctorate in Clinical Sexology from the International Institute of Clinical Sexology.
Dr. Rahman maintains a clinical caseload and specializes in relationship and family counseling and uses her capacity to mediate to help partners and family members navigate their relationship with themselves and others.
She also specializes in treating body-based trauma, specifically sexual trauma, and has created her own framework to aid in the healing process.
Dr. Rahman uses a client-centered approach where she pulls from a plethora of resources, skills, and knowledge that best meets the needs of the individual client all with a focus on increased self-awareness.
Dr. Rahman is the author of "A Power Exchange with Your Pain: A Guide Towards Reconciliation with SELF" and "Healing The Angry Black Woman: The Research."
Dr. Yulinda Renee Rahman resides in Chicago with her three girls, her partner, and their dog L.B. aka Little Brother.
