This program is intended to add to your existing practice - therapist, nurse, educator, physician, coach, minister, or other healthcare professional. You do need to be a licensed therapist to become a Board Certified Gender Therapist. If not, you will be certified as a Transgender Care Professional and practice within the ethical and legal parameters of your profession.

Students must attend all classes, participate in 4 hours of case consultation, and submit a satisfactory sample letter of referral for hormone therapy or surgery.

If a student is unable to attend all classes, the video recording may be watched and a summary submitted for credit. This program is not intended to be a Home Study, so this option is limited.

Does this program follow the WPATH Standards of Care?

Yes. The SOC describes what kinds of care are needed, who is qualified to provide care, and the interventions for best practice.

What does “Gender” cover?

This program covers all identities and expressions of gender, including transgender, gender diverse, gender expansive, and non-binary. It also explores gender expression from a historical perspective, continuing through to today, with identities of people in the manosphere, incels, tradwives, and femcels. Expression and identity intersect, and students will gain a deep understanding of gender through these lenses.

Will I be able to do evaluations and write letters of recommendation for transitioning people?

Yes, if you are a licensed clinician, you will be qualified after completing this program.

What if I am unable to attend one day?

All of the classes will be recorded. You may view the recording and complete a summary for credit.
